"Τhe Greek government has a steadfast position: it will not be dragged into an escalation, does not want to escalate the rhetoric and does not believe in this approach to addressing issues," stated Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias in statements to the press in Zagreb on Friday, when asked about the Turkish defence minister's statements.
"Greece has a clear conception based on international law and the law of the sea, on European and international values, on peace and stability," he underlined.
"We will not be dragged into rhetorical escalation, these things do not concern us, they belong to other centuries, to other eras, to imperialist concepts that have nothing to do with us," he explained.
