Nikos Oikonomopoulos could not hide his emotion at the concert he performed on Tuesday night in his hometown Patras. The singer broke down in tears during his performance and addressing his fans, he said:
“This applause is very nice. I remember when I was a kid and I always dreamed of being a singer.
"I always dreamed of being in front of people to sing. Before I was sitting back in the dressing room and telling the conductor what I am telling you now.
"And I say look at what life brings you sometimes and makes your dreams come true without even realising it.
"What I want to say to the young people, to the young kids that are here, I want you to always have goals. And the goals you set in your life will be achieved. You just have to want it a lot."
