A video that was published on social media on Wednesday that shows yet another incident of animal abuse, with the victim this time being an unfortunate cat, with the abuse taking place in the hinterland of Rethymnon. Naturally, the video is causing outrage.
As can be seen in the video, a teenage girl is with her friends and lures a cat with caresses, but then kicks the animal. At the same time, all of her friends laughed.
In fact, one of them videotaped this and posted it on the internet.
The Animal Welfare Association was informed about this act and took legal action.
According to Nea Kriti, the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office has also been informed about the case.
It is recalled that torturing an animal is a felony and carries a fine of up to 50,000 euros and a prison sentence of up to 10 years.
