After the disappointing performance in the game against Germany and the exclusion from the EuroBasket final four, the Greek national team returned to Athens on Wednesday morning.

Despite the disappointing mood, Giannis Antetokounmpo did not seem to lose his hunour lightened the atmosphere in the ranks of the team.

He didn’t stop “teasing” Giannoulis Larentzakis, who was one of the best of the National team in the quarter-final against Germany.

While the TV stations were waiting for the internationals to make a statement, the “Greek Freak” said “come here, come here to make a statement”, but Larentzakis preferred not to say anything.

Dennis Schroder scored 26 points, Daniel Theis had a 13-point, 16-rebound effort and host Germany moved into the EuroBasket semifinals with a 107-96 win over Greece on Tuesday.

Antetokounmpo had a monster game for Greece — 31 points, eight assists and seven rebounds in 30 minutes. But he also picked up two unsportsmanlike conduct fouls, the last of those leading to his ejection with 4:56 left.

Greece was down by 14 when he committed his second such foul, and Germany maintained full control the rest of the way.
