A 26-year-old American woman was brutally raped at a well-known beach bar in Mykonos. The perpetrator noticed the woman and after forcibly grabbing her by the hand, then led her to the beach where he raped her.
As soon as the American tourist recovered from the shock, she went to the police and reported the incident. Police officers from the Mykonos Sub-Division, guided by the victim's description, combed the island and succeeded in locating and arresting the perpetrator.
According to what the American woman testified to the police, she was having fun with her friends at the beach bar and they had consumed alcohol. The perpetrator then approached her and with quick movements kissed her despite the fact that she reacted and did not want to.
But it didn't stop there. Then, using force, he took her by the hand, led her to the beach and raped her on a deck chair. As soon as the 26-year-old regained consciousness, she went with her friends and reported the incident with the police, who located and arrested the suspect.
The American woman recognised her rapist and thus a case was filed against him. The victim was examined by a medical examiner.
