Roger Federer announced his retirement from active tennis after a historic 24-year career, and the entire world of the sport celebrated him on social media with Stefanos Tsitsipas being no exception.
"We love Roger," wrote Stefanos Tsitsipas on Twitter , adding to his post the flag of Switzerland and a violin, to represent the legend of world tennis.

Greece’s top tennis player Tsitsipas will soon see Federer up close, since the two will be Team Europe teammates at the Laver Cup at the end of September.
A little later, Tsitsipas made a new post on Instagram about Roger Federer, where he further honoured the Swiss, who has finished as the year-end No. 1 five times throughout his professional tennis career.
Stefanos wrote: "He came. We saw. He conquered. We were amazed. Thank you Roger Federer for elevating our sport to an incredible level. Making this sport look so easy, yet complicated to emulate at the same time. Your style, your personality, your talent, your finesse and your passion will be forever in the game.
“I can't thank you enough because you are the reason I started playing tennis. The reason I backhand with one hand. The reason I first dreamed when I was watching you lift the trophy at Wimbledon in 2004.
“To really "federalize" someone, it's not enough to dominate them, but you have to do it with style and quality. And this can be found in the countryside dictionary, thanks to you. I am proud and will be honoured to be part of your "last dance".
