Turkish hackers attack Greek football club Prometheus Patras (VIDEO)

Turkish hackers have reportedly attacked Greek football club Prometheus Patras website and left a threatening message with the face of Kemal Atatürk and the Turkish flag on the landing page.

"The website of Prometheus Patras was today attacked by hackers, who have posted anti-national and insulting slogans for Greece. The matter has already been referred to the authorities, while our technicians are making efforts to restore the site to normal operation." posted the club on its social media.

The hackers left the following message on the website that read:

“Hacked by nobody” and continues:

“Take a look at history, what happened to those who rebelled against the Turks,” and concludes… “We will cut you (circumcise, is the exact translation) the…”

The cyber-attack comes as Greek - Turkish relations are at an all-time low with the Turkish government continuing to question the sovereignty of Greece over its islands in the Aegean despite Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis extending an olive branch to the neighbouring country during his address at the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
