Evzones to visit Perth and South Australia

The Consulate of Greece in Perth has announced a series of events attended by a Unit of the Greek Presidential Guard, on the occasion of the commemoration of ‘Oxi Day’.

As part of the ongoing celebrations in honour of Greece’s National Day of 28 October 1940 the Evzones will be in Perth from 1st to 7th November and will participate in a number of community events.

This will be a unique opportunity for everyone in Perth to see the representatives of the Greek Presidential Guard up close.

The official celebration of ‘Oxi Day’ for Perth will take place with the Guard’s participation on Sunday, 6 November and follows an announcement by South Australian Minister for Transport and Infrastructure, Tom Koutsantonis, that the Evzones would also be visiting SA for ‘Oxi Day’ events.
