5.26 earthquake occurred near Crete, Greece

A strong earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale occurred at 7 am south of Crete.

According to the Geodynamic Institute of the Athens Observatory, the strong earthquake of magnitude 5 Richter at 7 am was centered in the marine area 84 kilometers south of Lasithi. The focal depth of the earthquake is estimated at 8 kilometers.

Up to this time there are no reports of damage in the area of ​​Agios Nikolaos in Crete.
