Dendias contradicts Mitsotakis and his joyful meeting with Azerbaijani dictator Aliyev

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev

A little more than 24 hours after the warm handshake and joyful smile of Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis when meeting with Azerbaijani dictator Ilhan Aliyev, Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias issued a fiery statement against the war crimes that the Azeri army continuously commits against Armenia.

It should be noted that the Mitsotakis family has always maintained very close relations with the butcher Aliyev, a fact that has been commented on in various ways, especially after Azerbaijan's extremely hostile attitude towards Greece, reported News Break.

Azerbaijan has sided with Turkey, even for its vile provocations against Greece in the Aegean and the eastern Mediterranean.

Several analysts even claim that the black money proven to have been trafficked by Aliyev and ended up in the pockets of Western politicians and lobbies is working not only to hide Azerbaijan's crimes, but also to advance Turkey's expansionist agenda.

In this light, the clear statement of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs demanding accountability for the Azeri war crimes, directly contradicts the personal choices of Kyriakos Mitsotakis in foreign policy.

"Utterly appalled by the horrific reports of the execution of unarmed Armenian prisoners by Azerbaijani forces. Greece strongly condemns such acts of violence and calls for a thorough investigation to ensure perpetrators are held to account," said the Greek Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

It is the second time that Nikos Dendias has distanced himself from the Prime Minister's initiatives. It was preceded by his choice to distance himself from Mitsotakis' trip to the Bosporus and his meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

This was a trip of which the foreign minister declared complete ignorance, revealing that the prime minister did not have the courtesy to inform him after the meeting had taken place…

In order not to offend Aliyev, even the leadership of the European Commission continues to consider Azerbaijan as a "reliable partner and supplier of natural gas".
