Early on Wednesday morning, a Turkish unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), also referred to as a drone, buzzed above the islet of Kinaros.
The UAV was flying at a height of 15,000 feet when the event happened around 4.53 am.
Without submitting a flight plan, the UAV violated Greek airspace by entering the Athens Flight Information Region (FIR).
Kinaros is a Dodecanese island in the Eastern Aegean; it is situated east of Amorgos and west of Kalymnos.
On September 30, a Turkish drone overflew the same islet.
