The legendary song "αγαπώ τη μητέρα μου" (I love my mother) by Cretan legend Nikos Xilouris was heard in one of the largest central railway stations in New York - Grand Central Terminal.
Two women, originally from Crete, danced and sang a cappella to the song. According to Kriti360, the women are Evangelia and Erini Tornesaki.
Evangelia comes from Selino, has a great career in America while claiming for the second time, to be the one who will represent Greece in the Eurovision contest in 2023.
For her part, Eirini Tornesaki was born and raised in Heraklion, studied music in England, traveled all the way to America to add her voice to Cirque Du Soleil shows for three years and is now a professor at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
