Greece says Turkey forced naked migrants to cross Evros border

The Greek Ministry of Citizen Protection tweeted about the inhuman and illegal use of immigrants who arrived from Turkey in a episode on the Evros border.

92 immigrants who were abandoned on the banks of the river completely naked before being rescued by Policemen of the Greek Customs Department in cooperation with EU's frontex.

In its announcement, the Ministry of Citizen Protection states the following in detail:

"Turkey continues to openly use immigrants as a tool, to violate human rights, to violate International Law.

Yesterday, its provocation exceeded all limits, when Policemen of the Border Guard Department, in collaboration with frontex, rescued a total of 92 illegal immigrants from the banks of the river Evros, who had been abandoned at the scene completely naked with no food or supplies.

We expect Ankara to investigate this incident.
