Ilias Zervos: The Istanbul-born actor died of a heart attack

The news of the death of the actor Ilias Zervos, who suffered a heart attack at the age of 65, spread sadness in the artistic world.

Spyros Bibilas announced the unpleasant event through his Facebook:

"It is with great sadness that we have just learned some tragic news. Our beloved Ilias Zervos left us suddenly. Our good friend, our worthy multi-talented colleague, who left his mark on Theatre and TV with wonderful roles, who gave his special voice to dozens of cartoon heroes and was loved by young and old, the actor fighting for the rights of of actors left quietly... Our beloved friend, have a good trip...."

Who was Ilias Zervos?

Ilias Zervos had participated in many plays and television series. Since 1990 he has been working with Audio Visual and other dubbing companies, lending his voice to animation, narration and directing dubbed series.

He graduated from the Veaki drama school, while he was also a graduate of the School of Economics and Commercial Sciences (now the Athens University of Economics and Business).

He was a member of the Greek Actors Association. In 2014, he was a candidate for regional councilor of Attica (in the Northern sector) with the combination of Rena Dourou's Life Force.

Among the popular series he has participated in are Konstantinou and Elenis, where he played the lawyer of Harry Roma, Konstantinou Katakouzinou, Akros Oikogeneiak, The Knives, the Apartment Building, Lifting and others.

Ilias Zervos was born in 1956 in Istanbul, Turkey.
