Greek fishermen and coast guard rescue four illegal immigrants off Samos island

Greek fishermen and the coast guard rescued a total of four illegal migrants at sea, south of Samos island in the East Aegean, on Monday.

Initially, the fishing boat located and rescued two foreigners, a man and a woman, who told authorities they were onboard an inflatable dinghy with another 10 people before it capsized. Frontex, the EU border patrol, found and rescued another two.

They were taken to the hospital on Samos, while three patrols boats and a Frontex vessel are involved in the search and rescue.
