Greek star Stefanos Tsitsipas and WTA Finals champion Caroline Garcia will headline the inaugural United Cup in Perth next month.
Greece was drawn in Group A and will play at revamped RAC Arena against Belgium and a yet-to-be-announced qualifier.
Tsitsipas and world No.6 Maria Sakkari will lead the Greek team, taking on former top 10 Belgian stars David Goffin and Hopman Cup participant Elise Mertens in Group A match-up.
Garcia is arriving off a semifinal appearance at the US Open in 2022 and a fantastic run at the WTA Finals, where she defeated Aryna Sabalenka in the final.
United Cup Perth general manager Brett Patten said he was excited about the draw, notably landing Tsitsipas.
“There are some wonderful players coming across to Perth. To get global athletes back here in WA under the mixed format is simply exceptional,” he said.
“I love Tsitsipas, I’ll unashamedly say that. He’s a throwback to the Bjorn Borg era with the long flowing locks and can play the game.
The tournament will run from December 29 to January 4, with the top four teams to meet in the final in Sydney from January 6.
