A 4.8-magnitude earthquake occurred at 04:08 in the sea area southeast of Crete, according to the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens.

The epicenter of the earthquake is located in the sea area 74 kilometers south-southeast of Goudouras Lasithi and the focal depth is estimated at 10.7 kilometers, according to the same source.
