Greek authorities have busted a counterfeit ring that trafficked more than 23,000 fake luxury brand items including names like Nike, Prada, Adidas, Tommy Hilfiger, Emporio Armani, Under Armor, reported Proto Thema newspaper.
According to the news report, Greek police successfully dismantled of a very well-structured criminal organization, with a turnover of more than 1.5 million euros from the sale of the counterfeit luxury brands.
Orders were made online and according to reports, most of the deliveries were made to the well-to-do Athenian suburbs of Kolonaki, Glyfada and Kifissia, and even to some retail outlets in the area.
During police raids carried out in the homes of those arrested, authorities discovered a stun gun with a magazine and 9 blank cartridges, 40 0.40 calibre Smith & Wesson cartridges, 10 9mm calibre cartridges and a bag of 144 grams of raw cannabis.
