A 25-year-old driver died after his car collided into a wild boar at the height of Mikrothibe in Volos. The man of was killed on the spot.
The car that the 25-year-old man was driving on the Volos-Farsala provincial road ran into an already dead wild boar that was on the road. The animal had previously been hit by a 40-year-old woman, who was not injured, driving in the opposite direction.
Gegonta News reported that the vehicle driven by the unlucky 25-year-old swerved to the right of the wild boar, hit a concrete ramp and overturned on the road, resulting in fatal injuries to the lad. The aforementioned passenger vehicles did not come into contact with each other.
The body of the 25-year-old was transported by an ambulance to the General Hospital of Volos. A forensic examination was ordered, while the exact causes of the traffic accident are being investigated.
A preliminary investigation is being carried out by the Volos Traffic Department.
