The first Greek drone flew - Watch the video

The various programs for Greek drones are developing rapidly and have the expectation of restoring balance over the Aegean with these types of weapons.

The team behind the development of the Talos has uploaded a video to their Instagram account showing the UAV taking a test flight for the first time.

This flight was of short duration and went completely smoothly in all its phases. In all probability, the test flight had to do with studying the aerodynamics of the small drone.

The company writes on Instagram: "The first bet with ourselves, to prove that we have the strength to do something innovative, regarding unmanned vehicles in Greece, at a time when few had heard of this technology."

The characteristics of Talos are quite interesting as it is a relatively large drone, with a length of 4.4 metres, a speed of 180 km/h, an action radius of about 500 km and can load (gross) up to 200 kg of weight.

In any case, both Talos and the other ongoing efforts show a strong interest from the Greek side in developing this very critical sector, as it proved in Ukraine, Nagorno-Karabakh and elsewhere.

Combined with the possibility of purchasing and using sophisticated American UAVs, it seems that little by little Greece is reducing the distance that separates it from the opposite side of the Aegean in this kind of weapons.
