Under the title "The Greek prime minister crossed the line - Scandalous statements by Mitsotakis about Turkey", the pro-government newspaper Hürriyet attacked Greece's leader due to his latest statements at the London School of Economics.

"Turkey is once again on the agenda of neighbouring Greece. Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who in recent days has been constantly targeting Turkey with his scandalous statements, has once again targeted Ankara," the publication notes.

The newspaper presents the answer of the Greek prime minister to the director of the Hellenic Observatory of the London School of Economics, Kevin Featherstone, on whether Turkey and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan are in line with the principles and values of the European Union.

Mitsotakis stressed that Turkey has a complex relationship with not only Greece, but all of the EU, because of its revisionist agenda of projecting old-style imperial ambitions.

Hürriyet pointed out that the tension with Greece increased after the Greek Prime Minister's statements to the US Congress, last May, about not approving the sale of F-16 aircraft to Turkey.
