Although Giannis Antetokounmpo put in another superstar performance with 37 points as the Bucks beat the Knicks inside Madison Square Garden. However, the "Greek Freak's" attention quickly turned towards Greece and his love for the National team.
On the difference between the NBA and Eurobasket, Antetokounmpo said that under FIBA rules, the game is slower, with no spaces and a 3-second offensive violation in the ark, while the match lasts 40 minutes.
Referring to Greece’s performance at the recent Eurobasket, he said that unfortunately, the national team didn’t beat Germany because of the many three-pointers.
“We didn’t make the final 4, but it was a step in the right direction. I enjoyed being there for Greece, wearing the national team shirt is different because you represent 11 million Greeks and 4 million Greeks abroad, which is a great feeling," the Bucks star said.
"As long as I am healthy I will continue to do it because it is a different experience and I try to represent Greece as best as I can," he added.
Antetokounmpo went on to say that in the NBA there are bigger and faster bodies with more talent. “It’s harder to do some things, but you have more spaces and you can go where you want and it’s up to you to create plays.”
