Georgios Arnaoutis Greek Foreign Ministry

General Political Affairs Counsellor Georgios Arnaoutis has been appointed new Greek Foreign Affairs Ministry spokesperson by decision of Minister Nikos Dendias, the ministry announced on Friday.

Dendias thanked outgoing spokesperson Alexandros Papaioannou for his services, and wished him every success in his new duties as Greece's permanent representative to international organizations in Geneva.

Arnaoutis is a veteran of the Foreign Ministry, having entered its service in 1998. He is now promoted to the top spokesperson position, having served as its deputy since August 2021. Previously he was a diplomat in China, Germany, Sweden and Hungary.
