A terrifying incident happened on Sunday afternoon as passengers on the Greek suburban train network believed that a person had a gun.
A security officer at the suburban station in Dekelia noticed that one Pakistani in a group of three foreigners appeared to have a gun. The Pakistani suspect realised this and threw away the replica pistol in a toilet and boarded the train to Chalkida.
A new search was carried out by the police and a replica gun was found in the toilets.
According to police sources, the officers who rushed to the scene, through statements taken from passengers, discovered that the replica gun belonged to this man and were able to charge him despite the object not being found on him.
According to Proto Thema, while checking passengers for possible accomplices, the police officers also found 13.8 grams of cannabis.
