Greek Prime Minister meets with Italian counterpart in Brussels

The Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, met with the newly elected Italian PM Giorgia Meloni yesterday in Brussels before the start of the European Council Meeting, protothema reports.

The two leaders expressed their will to enhance bilateral relations and expand cooperation and coordination in areas of mutual interest within the EU, such as energy and economic governance.

The two leaders also discussed regional and international issues and the social and economic consequences of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
