HERAKLION: Wild knife fights involving Pakistanis, Palestinians

Fierce clashes have taken place over the past week in the Cretan city of Heraklion. Authorities are investigating the cases.

According to Creta Post, two cases have resulted in the arrest of a total of three people.

The first fight

It started on the afternoon of December 23rd in Ammoudara, Heraklion, when two Palestinians attacked a Pakistani with a knife.

As stated in the complaint made to the authorities, a 22-year-old man. together with another person, argued with a 37-year-old Pakistani man but started hitting him on the head and body. In fact, the 22-year-old pulled out a knife and injured the 37-year-old's hand.

After the fierce fight, the police identified and arrested the 22-year-old who is now facing the justice system.

The second fight

A few hours later, another fight took place on Kalokairinou Heraklion Avenue.

According to Creta Post, two Pakistanis (30 and 23 years old) had a heated argument. Apparently, both took out knives.

The 23-year-old injured the 30-year-old but both made complaints to the police. Both of them were arrested by police.
