Stefanos Tsitsipas is set to make his Davis Cup by BNP Paribas debut on home soil when the Europe Group III is held in Athens in September.
Greece are one of eight teams currently in Europe Group III, alongside Luxembourg, Estonia, Poland, Latvia, Monaco, Montenegro, and FYR Macedonia.
The event will be played on the outdoor clay courts at the Tatoi Club in Athens, which hosted the Fed Cup by BNP Paribas Europe/Africa Group II play-offs in April 2018.
Tsitsipas’s participation was confirmed by Hellenic Tennis Federation president Spyros Zannias, with the 20-year-old expected to join younger brother Petros Tsitsipas – who holds a 5-2 record in Davis Cup – alongside Markos Kalovelonis and Michail Pervolarakis.
The Davis Cup Europe Group III event will be held from September 11-14.
