An earthquake of a similar magnitude occurred in approximately the same sea area, northeast of Lasithi, also on Monday morning.

Specifically, the seismological network recorded today, at 10:12, a weak earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale, at a distance of 324 km SE of Athens, as announced by the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens.
