Parliamentary elections will be held from April onwards, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced in a broad meeting at the Maximos Palace.
According to government sources, Mitsotakis is consistent in his commitment to hold elections at the end of the four year mandate, while he himself will determine the appropriate date to hold polls from January onwards.
Emphasis was also placed on the basic principles of the program for the next four years, with an emphasis on increasing wages.
In detail, at the meeting, as is done at the beginning of each year, the planning for the next period was discussed:
- The planning of the legislative work and the bills processed by the ministries,
- The account and presentation of government work by sector so that all this work that has been produced is not lost in the confrontation of the pre-election period,
- Basic principles of the program for the next 4 years with an emphasis on increasing wages, as described in his New Year's message the Prime Minister,
- The presentation of the regional development programs, with the projects that have been done and those that have been planned,
- The preparation of the tour program of the Prime Minister, the ministers and the party officials,
The meeting was attended by almost all of the morning coffee and other officials from the New Democracy leadership.
