Nikos Vourliotis: "Everyone blames trap music but no one blames the society that inspires it"

Nikos Vourliotis

Nikos Vourliotis spoke on TikTok and also in an interview about trap music and made a reference to the new song he is preparing with Giorgos Alkaios.

The rapper, known as Nivo, in all his tracks, expresses his concerns and refers to the problems of society. This time, in an interview he gave, he mentioned trap music and expressed his thoughts around the controversial trap music.

"Everyone blames trap and no one has blamed the society that inspires trap. Deal with the moral author at last. Music has always been the showcase of society, whatever was on the table you would eat. This is what society has, what trap describes," he said in the video posted on TikTok.

"Whether or not the protagonists are exaggerating and whether they are inspired to live the lives they describe is none of my business.

"The doctor does not tolerate you badmouthing him, but he tolerates immoral handling of his oath, his title and his role as a scientist in society.

"The other person doesn't have a way, he's just expressing his opinion and he has every right to express it."

In another part of the video, Nikos Vourliotis talked about the song he is preparing with Giorgos Alkaios, who has been absent from the music industry in recent years.

"I am preparing a song that will be released with Giorgos Alkaios who is returning to record things after 11 years of era. We're making a song that under other circumstances would have sent us to jail. We present things with such authenticity and truth that it will shock," he said.

Trap music, a subgenre of rap, gets its name from the Atlanta slang word “trap”, a house used exclusively to sell drugs.
