Strong winds of up to 9 Beaufort in the Aegean Sea have disrupted scheduled ferry services across Greece on Tuesday.

Ferries going to the Cyclades and the Dodecanese remained docked at the port of Piraeus while a sailing ban is in effect for the ports of Rafina and Lavrio.

The ferry lines Pachi (Megara), Faneromeni (Salamina) and Aghia Marina - Nea Styra are not operating. Only closed-type ferries were sailing to the islands of the Saronic Gulf.

Passengers who are going to travel today should contact the local port authorities and tourist agencies before their departure for any changes or modifications to itineraries due to adverse weather conditions.
