A new 3.6 Richter earthquake occurred at 10:35 (local time) on Thursday morning in Thebes. At the same epicentre this morning, (09:10) the Geodynamic Seismological Institute recorded a 3.7 Richter earthquake as well.
The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Institute recorded the tremors at 3.8 and 3.7 on the Richter scale.
It is recalled that the faults in Thebes are a continuation of the faults of the Corinthian Gulf.
"There is a significant possibility of a very strong earthquake in the region," seismologist Gerasimos Papadopoulos said last year, after a 4.3 Richter earthquake on April 10, 2022.
