In addition to the documentary she is preparing about her life, which will be released on January 31 on Netflix and entitled "Pamela, a love story", Pamela Anderson will also release her memoirs.

In them, she could not leave out Tommy Lee, her great love and the darkest page of her life.

"My life. A thousand imperfections. A million misperceptions. Wicked, wild and lost," said the actress about her turbulent life.

Although she went through five marriages and dozens of partners, the only one who managed to stigmatise Pamela Anderson was Tommy Lee. The legendary couple of the 90's separated in 1998, however, before they got the divorce, they had two children and four years of life together.

"My relationship with Tommy may have been the only time I was ever truly in love," she said of her ex-husband to People, on the occasion of the release of her documentary and book. "Tommy is the father of my kids and I'm forever grateful," she explained, adding that they rarely speak now.

"We just wanted to have babies and be together forever," the Baywatch star said.

With their two young sons at home, the pressures and stress ultimately overwhelmed them, she writes. One night in 1998, she says Lee twisted her arm as she was holding seven month old Dylan, and Brandon played nearby.

"Tommy ripped Brandon off me and threw me and Dylan into a wall," she writes. Panicked, she called 911. Tommy was arrested and served six months in jail. And, as she writes, "Our hell began."

Anderson filed for divorce; in the months and years that followed, she focused on caring for her sons and finding healing.

"The divorce from Tommy was the hardest, lowest, most difficult point of my life," she writes in her memoir. "I was crushed. I still couldn't believe that the person I loved the most was capable of what had happened that night. We were both devastated, but I had to protect my babies."

In a newly released trailer for the documentary, Anderson addresses the sex tape she released in 1996 with her Athens-born ex-husband without her consent.

The release of the video, she is heard saying, made her feel "sick" for years. “I blocked that stolen tape out of my life in order to survive and now that it’s all coming up again, I feel sick," said Anderson.

She then stated that she is finally ready to tell her own story for the first time, as dozens of documentaries and series have so far been released, telling her life and focusing on the "dark" period of her life, after the sex tape was made public.

More recently, it is the Hulu series, "Pam & Tommy", for which the actress reacted strongly. Besides, she said that some events were distorted in the series and had nothing to do with what really happened.

"I wanna take control of the narrative for the first time," she declared.
