How does Nissan save €400,000 a year in Greece?

Nissan has zero emission vehicles in its range, but the Japanese company does not stop there as it works to reduce CO2 emissions and create environmental and social value.

These principles have also been adopted by the Greek company which has Nissan in Greece, which, seeing the environmental and social needs, has set out to reduce its energy footprint to zero.

It has already managed to achieve this in a percentage of 80% with the use of photovoltaic systems that it has installed in its privately owned facilities in Athens, Aspropyrgos and Thessaloniki.

Moreover, the words of the Vice President and Managing Director Takis Theocharakis, who speaking to the company's employees during the cutting of the New Year's pie, in addition to the business part, also referred to the very large investment that has been made to meet the energy needs.

As he emphasised in his speech, the systems that have been placed on the roofs of the buildings already cover 80% of the needs with the annual profit for the company reaching 400,000 euros.

With the use of photovoltaic systems, CO2 emissions are reduced by 678 tons per year. The number is very high and shows the sensitivity of the professional world in the automotive industry to environmental issues.
