Latest ATP rankings post 2023 Australian Open: Novak Djokovic reclaims world no.1 spot, Stefanos Tsitsipas reaches career-high

Novak Djokovic has climbed his way back to the ATP Rankings summit by winning the Australian Open championship.

Day 13 of the 2023 Australian Open saw Serbian ace Novak Djokovic lift the Norman Brookes trophy for a record-extending 10th time. Bettering Greek superstar Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight sets, Djokovic solidified his return to the pole position atop the world rankings. He’ll be looking to add to his record of 373 weeks as world number 1.

Tsitsipas looked poised to win the first Grand Slam of his already stellar career. Having steamrolled through his competition, he set his eyes firmly on the world’s number one spot. It’s been his target ever since he had his breakthrough. Considered the most talented Next Gen player, Tsitsipas played some of his best tennis ever. Heading into his second Slam final, Stefanos Tsitsipas hoped to do away with the heartbreak endured at Roland Garros in 2021.
