The Le Roi NTUA Chess Team representing the National Technical University of Athens and Greece, won a great distinction at the Kasparov Chess Foundation University Cup.
The Le Roi Team ranked first in Europe and fifth in the world out of 114 teams and 548 students from all over the world.

"With talent, zeal, strong tradition and world champion stuff, the team is galloping. They make us proud and has us by their side," wrote the National Technical University of Athens in an announcement.
"Congratulations to the seniors too!" the statement added.

In first place was the team from Texas Tech University, followed by University of Missouri - Mizzou (A), Saint Louis University and then University Brawijaya.
