"Words are poor to describe my heartbreak from the loss of Manousos Voloudakis. To my good friend and partner, but also my beloved compatriot and loyal ally in New Democracy.

"Manousos leaves an imprint of quality throughout his journey. As a member of parliament, as an economist, as a citizen of Chania. While public life owes him a lot, as the Deputy Minister of Administrative Reform he bravely fought the bureaucracy.

"The government and the party mourn his untimely death. Our thoughts are, now, with his family. To his beloved Sevi and their three children. Dafni, Sifi and Giorgos, always remember your father. And be proud of him."

In the current parliamentary term (II) he participated in the following committees of the Parliament: the Standing Committee on Production and Trade, the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs, the special Standing Committee on European Affairs, the special Permanent Committee on Hellenism in the Diaspora and in the Constitution Revision Committee.

It was his position in the Committee of Hellenism in the Diaspora that he will be most remembered.

"Terrible news just reached me. The honorable Mr Manousos Voloudakis has passed away. I can't express my condolences enough to his lovely wife and children. Mr Voloudakis was the first person in centuries to invite us, the Greco-Levantine community to the Hellenic Parliament.

"He will always be remembered as the single person who gave our movement a voice and we as a community but mostly me as a person whom admired him will honor his memory Aeona i Mnimi."
