Thessaloniki Metro: Venizelos station will display ancient discoveries

The technical and construction crews of the Thessaloniki Metro continue to work at a feverish pace for to complete the Venizelos station.

Attiko Metro SA opened the “gates” of the station today to journalists to see the progress of the project, with the images captured showing dozens of people working simultaneously on all four levels of the station, making significant progress.

According to Proto Thema, on level 1 where the ancient finds will be found, the molds for the slab are put in. At level 4, the installation of the lines proceeds.

A crucial month, according to the report, is April, when the antiquities are expected to start returning while the first train is also expected to pass.
