In the final phase of EuroBasket 2023, which will be held in Israel and Slovenia, the Greek Women’s Basketball National Team qualified, despite their away loss to Portugal (66-60) on Friday night in the city of Odivelas.
Maria Correa (32 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 5 steals in 29:30) did things and wonders for the hosts, who closed the match with 12 assists for just seven errors, but also with nine steals.
The leader of team Greece was Mariella Fasoula with (27 points, 8/13 two-pointers, 11/13 shots, 12 rebounds), she also had help from Eleanna Christinaki (13 points, 7 rebounds) in an otherwise bad night for the National Team. 3/15 3-pointers and 22 fouls, a loss, but with a score that sent the team to the next major tournament.
