Hermès presents “Un Jardin à Cythère”, a fragrance inspired by the pristine island of Kythira in Greece. It is part of the famous series “Parfums Jardins” and promises moments of freshness, reverie and escape.

“Un Jardin à Cythère” was created by Hermès perfumer Christine Nagel. The fragrance is inspired by the pristine island of Kythira in Greece and smells of grasses, olive wood and fresh pistachios.

The new creation is part of the search Hermès “Parfums Jardins” series, which combines the soul of a place, the perfumer’s inspiration and the annual theme chosen by Hermès. The first fragrance in the series, “Un Jardin sur le Nil” was released in 2005.

Fred Rawyler’s bottle design is inspired by the lanterns of horse-drawn carriages and consists of a graduated yellow glass reflecting the sunny fragrance. Artist Elias Kafouros created the colorful landscape on the packaging, which features golden grasses, green olive trees, fresh pistachios and the blue sea.

Kythira is situated in the Ionian Sea, south-east of the Peloponnese peninsula. It is renowned for its stunning beaches, traditional villages and rich history, as well as its scenic hiking trails and natural beauty.
