A luxury Surf Coast home that Australian tennis champ Mark Philippoussis and his family rented for the past two years, is set to be listed for sale with hopes of $3.4 million to $3.7 million.
The four-bedroom home at 23 Carnavon Avenue, Jan Juc, will hit the market on March 10, selling agent and Property Exchange Group executive director Alex Lyons said.
Found in Jan Juc’s “golden triangle,” the home is just 200 metres from the beach and offers stunning views of the surf and the nearby Torquay Golf Club.
“It’s one of the most unique homes because of the proximity to the beach – there’s only three or four streets in this pocket of Jan Juc so close to the water, and it’s very sought after,” Lyons said.
“There are micro markets within the Surf Coast, and this sits in the greater Torquay market and that’s one of the most tightly held for properties.”
Philippoussis and his family rented the home soon after, until moving out this week.
“He moved back to Australia and to Jan Juc from San Diego at the start of COVID,” Lyons said. “He wanted to find something that was the next chapter in his, and his family’s, lives.”
Being so close to the surf, the area was popular with sports stars, including Philippoussis and AFL footballers, Lyons said.
