Greece's Air Mediterranean to inaugurate first flight from Europe to Syria in over a decade!

Greece's Air Mediterranean will inaugurate the first flight from Europe to Syria in 11 years when one of their vessels lands at Damascus International Airport from Athens on March 9.

According to sources cited by North Press, Air Mediterranean will run two flights to and from Europe per week.

The company will have four flights per week – on Thursday and Monday, from Athens to Damascus, and on Friday and Tuesday, from Damascus to Athens.

In July 2022, the European Union decided to remove the private Syrian airline, Cham Wings, from the list of companies subject to sanctions after adding it to the list in 2021.
