RYANAIR: Greek passenger arrested for smoking in the toilets of a flight from London to Thessaloniki

A Ryanair passenger from Greece was arrested for smoking in the plane's toilets!

The 28-year-old woman was caught by a flight attendant smoking during the flight from London to Thessaloniki. When the plane landed in Greece's second city, police were notified and she was arrested, reported Proto Thema.

The incident occurred at 22:20 on Tuesday.

"A cabin staff member discovered that she had smoked inside the aircraft's toilet, despite the notices and warnings that smoking is prohibited, in violation of the captain's express orders and an act that is dangerous to the safety of transport," a police statement said.

The pilot was immediately informed and when the plane landed at Macedonia Airport, police officers arrested the 28-year-old. A charge was filed against her for "Dangerous interference in the transport of means of fixed trajectory of ships and aircraft."

She was taken to the prosecutor on Wednesday.
