The General Secretary of MeRA25, Yanis Varoufakis, was beaten outside a restaurant in Exarchia on Friday night.
Yanis Varoufakis was outside the restaurant, on Valtetsiou Street when he was approached by a mob of about 20 people. He was pushed and then one of them slapped him.
Yanos was then thrown on the ground and kicked. He didn't have any police protection at the times of the incident.
Mr. Varoufakis was reportedly with members of the European MeRA25 at the "Yiantes" restaurant.
The information states that Yanis Varoufakis was taken to Evangelismos hospital with a broken nose.
In 2015 , Yanis Varoufakis was the victim of an attack, when he was again in the same place with his wife, Danae Stratou.
At that time, a group of about 40 people with their features covered had entered the restaurant and threw a bottle of water at them and shouted at him to leave Exarchia.
