By 1 year ago

Taxi drivers are holding a 24-hour strike on Thursday to protest "what the Transport ministry has not done for the taxis," according to an announcement on Wednesday.

They started their strike at 06:00 on Thursday and will complete it at 06:00 on Friday. In addition, taxi drivers will rally at Kavalas Avenue at 11:00 and march to the ministry.

Athens street closed for today's strike.

Their complaints mentioned private services and taxi apps which they claimed "eat away at the taxi driver's daily wages" and they accused the government of indifference, which is contributing to "the slow death of taxis."
