Following the case of a Russian spy being exposed for having fake Greek legalisation papers, a new report has emerged that claims up to 50,000 Pakistanis in Greece could also have fake registration papers.

“Apart from the Russian woman who was in Greece with fake papers and ran a knitwear shop, there may be some 50,000 Pakistanis who are in Greece with fake papers. Let’s look at this too, because there may even be Turkish agents among them,” wrote Olympia.

Islamabad and Athens agreed to combat illegal immigration and promote legal pathways, and also discussed issues related to the members of the Pakistan community living in Greece, in November 2022.

The pledge was made during a meeting between Sajid Hussain Turi, minister for overseas Pakistanis and human resource development, and Notis Mitarachi, minister of migration and asylum of Greece, however, nothing since then has done to deport Pakistanis without a legal right to be in Greece.
