Greek Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Dendias spoke with UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay on Monday.
On Twitter, Dendias said that with Azouley, who, he noted, is currently visiting Ukraine, he discussed "ways of further cooperation to protect the city of Odessa and highlight its history and heritage, following its inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List."
Odessa, Dendias stressed in another tweet, "is of particular importance to Greece, as it is inextricably linked to the history of our country and the Greek diaspora in Ukraine."
