Police are looking for a well-known rapper and his 23-year-old partner after a 19-year-old student from Albania complained that she was raped by the 24-year-old musician and a friend of his in a hotel in the Cretan city of Rethymnon in the early hours of Monday.
At noon of the same day, the 19-year-old woman testified to the Rethymnon Security Sub-Directorate that while she was having fun at a well-known club in the old port, where the rapper was singing, a close associate of his took her to a city hotel in a drunken state.
There, the 23-year-old offered her a quantity of cannabis, causing the girl to completely lose control. A little while later, the 24-year-old rapper arrived in the room together with a 30-year-old man of Albanian origin, who, according to the complainant, gang-raped her.
When a little while later she realised what had happened, the young woman informed some of her friends and they went to the Rethymnon Police.
Yesterday afternoon, the police arrested the 30-year-old Albanian at the port of Heraklion while he was preparing to board the boat bound for Piraeus. The 19-year-old is expected to be examined by a medical examiner, while the 24-year-old rapper and his 23-year-old partner remain missing.
The 24-year-old is considered one of the top stars of the Greek rap scene at the moment and is the son of a well-known hip-hop singer and tattoo artist who was found dead in his shop in 2011.
The rapper has previously concerned the authorities as he starred in a British Vice documentary on Menidi. In the footage, he posed with an automatic weapon in his hands.
