This year's Greek Cup will be held in Cyprus

This year's final of the Novibet Greek Cup will finally be held in Cyprus.

Since Friday morning, news started to circulate, in view of the Executive Committee meeting on the specific issue, and a little while later, it was confirmed.

The proposal submitted was voted unanimously and thus the big match between PAOK and one of AEK or Olympiacos will take place on May 20 in Nicosia, specifically at GSP, Gazzetta reported.

Due to the elections, it was impossible for the final to take place in Greece on that date, while the teams did not want it to be on May 27 since they wanted to release their players as early as possible due to the summer qualifiers for the European competitions.

Somehow this particular date and Cyprus as the venue qualified as the most ideal choice.
