Holy Light from Jerusalem scheduled to arrive in Athens on Saturday afternoon

The annual arrival of the Holy Light from Jerusalem to Athens will occur on Holy Saturday (April 15) through a particular Aegean flight. The aeroplane will share it with other major cities ahead of Resurrection services at midnight.

The Light is expected to arrive at Athens International Airport at 18:00, on board an A320neo aircraft, and to travel on special flights by Aegean and Olympic to Alexandroupolis, Chania (Crete), Samos, Larissa, Limnos, Ioannina, Corfu, and Cephalonia. Each arrival is timed differently, but all fall between 18:30 and 21:55 on Holy Saturday.

In addition to the above cities, other airlines will transport the Holy Light to more cities from Athens airport. Sky Express is scheduled to fly with the Flame to Thessaloniki, Iraklio (Crete), Rhodes, Kos, Mytilini, Chios, Mykonos and Santorini on flights between 20:15 and 21:50.
